Travis Book's Country & Western Revue

Tuesday casual collaborations at 185 King Street are the result of what has now been over a year-long series that Travis Book started to fulfill a need for live music during the pandemic period. When music venues around the country were closed we pivoted to find a way to provide live music to our community. Open air and spaced out, we prevailed. Every Tuesday since August of 2020, Travis has assembled 3-4 musicians for a unique night of music. After more than a year, the series has become the cornerstone of the Brevard music community; bringing musicians and music fans together for one-time-only collaborations. Travis has hosted a wide range of musicians, including: Mike Ashworth, Anders Beck, Nicki Bluhm, Josh Daniel, Andy Dunnigan, Benny “Burle” Galloway, Mike Guggino, Lindsay Lou, Tommy Maher, Mimi Naja, Lyndsay Pruett, Rev. Matthew Reiger, Jon Stickley, Barrett Smith, Kyle Tuttle, and Jon Weisberger and is now occasionally handing the mic over to let some of his friends take the lead. Every week is different, but it’s not just a jam; the musicians bring intention to every setlist and every show and as a result, these carefully cultivated shows are becoming a cornerstone of the WNC music scene.  For weeks when the show is billed as the happy hour there will be a interview component in the middle of the show. 

This week Travis will be joined by Mary Lucey on bass, Tim Gardner on fiddle, Devin Neel on drums, and Ryan Stigmon on lap steel.  

For this show tickets for the front room, directly in front of the stage are sold as table reservations.  When you purchase a table you are purcahsing tickets for the number of seats at the table.  One additional seat can be added to each table.  For example, if you buy a two top but have three people in your party we can add a chair onto the table.  You can purchase the additional ticket the evening of the show.   For the rest of the space we are selling general admission/standing room tickets.  If you purchase a general admission ticket you can stand anywhere in the space between the front bar and the seated area as well as the backyard (behind the stage) which is open weather permitting.  There are tables and chairs available in the backyard at a first come, first served basis. 

In order to purchase a ticket decide in which area you would like to sit and then click the "tickets" button above.  You may have to go back and forth a bit if your preferred table is no longer avaiable.  If the only ticket you see is "general admission" that means the tables are sold out.
