Chrysalis is an acoustic string trio of sisters and a brother outta Brevard, NC; Jenn on guitar, Jonlyn on fiddle, and JT on upright bass. We grew up making music as a family- starting with humming and dancing a long as our parents played and sang. As we grew older we each found our individual voices and instruments. We were never forced or pushed by our parents to play, it just came naturally and the love of music lives on in our hearts! Although we call ourselves a trio we hear our parents and two older sisters harmonies in our hearts and minds every time the three of us play! We are thrilled when they can join us!

Alma is a singer/songwriter out of Sylva in Western North Carolina, playing what she considers to be “patchwork music”: country, folk, and Appalachian styles pieced together. Born in Florida, she’d spend summers with her family visiting the mountains. She took to Appalachian music at an early age, particularly murder ballads. She started playing fiddle in her early teens, and eventually took up banjo and guitar. She loves expressing herself through songwriting, as it’s cheaper than therapy, and she loves playing the old music that’s been her foundation and making something that’s her own.

The Super 60s.... A musical retrospective of one of Americas most turbulent periods. The joy and celebration of Woodstock, the enigma of Vietnam, the tragic loss of the Kennedys, and man landing on the moon. A period of time in which so much was happening, so fast, that those of us who lived through it sometimes wonder how we made it.

At its core, The Moon and You is a charismatic husband-and-wife team. Melissa Hyman plays cello, Ryan Furstenberg plays guitar and banjo, and both sing in “voices that sound like they were made for one another” (Bill DeYoung, Connect Savannah). But whatever you might assume based on their gorgeous vocal blend and heartfelt lyrics, this ain’t your basic folk duo. With a rotating cast of talented friends to add unexpected instrumentation to their lineup, The Moon and You never plays the same show twice. This ever-evolving, expandable and collapsible model leaves the band constantly reinventing itself in ways both surprising and satisfying.
