General Admission: $7 In early 2018, Howl In The Valley started as a few Spartanburg, SC musicians sitting in with each other at an open mic on Sunday nights. They quickly evolved into an up-and-coming folk rock trio with powerful, well-crafted songs that stir the soul and tattoo the brain with infectious melodies and memorable lyrics. The trio spent the majority of 2018 perfecting their craft and building a fanbase on stages of all sizes throughout the Carolinas. In November of that year, they took enough time off from gigging to head into the studio to track their debut EP. The first single was released on February 22nd 2019 and the EP was released a few months later on April 5th.

$5 a seat/must reserve entire table/tables are limited---- Virginia and The Slims started in Summer of 2013 with Virginia DeMoss on vocals, Perry Lavin on drums, James Kamp on tenor sax, Harry Schaefer on bass, Ginger Drake on alto sax and Sean Anderson, on guitar. Virginia's husband came up with the name and we loved it. The idea was to play blues but to play songs people would respond to, especially swing or jump blues as no one else locally was focusing on that. Eventually Virginia left to start a family, Ginger left for Nashville, and Perry and Harry left to pursue their first love, Indian classical music. James and Sean reorganized with Sid Heilbraun, a rock solid bassist, and Brian Gant, a Nashville pro on drums. Rebecca O'Quinn came on board as our singer. After about a year she left, and we met our current vocalist, Joanna Best. Joanna can bring across old time blues like no one's business and has a great disposition. Then we added a long term friend of ours and killer harmonica player, Bill Mattocks as well as saxophonist Vinny Corda and Marco Noto on drums. The band thrived with Chicago Blues led by Don Pasqualini on guitar, Jeff Delgarn on drums, Tom Fleckenstine on bass. We now welcome Howie Neal on Guitar, John Davis on Bass, John Barrett on drums.

General Admission show - Tickets $10 ---- The band is built on the musical brotherhood that guitarist/vocalist Silas Durocher and bassist Jesse Gentry have formed playing music together since middle school. Durocher, who is a trained composer and has been commissioned to write for symphonies and chamber groups, has guitar chops that can soothe or rage and a charismatic swagger as a frontman and a singer. “Durocher has an impressive range and rich clarity to his vocals—think a more soulful Dan Auerbach” (Connect Savannah). Gentry’s virtuosic bass playing “catapults from elastic to nasty” (The Mountain Xpress). With the addition of Jian-Claude Mears, a drummer with “precision, passion, and an inescapable momentum” (Live For Live Music), the group’s sound has become an unstoppable force. They have been wowing audiences around the country and the Caribbean since their inception in 2011 with an unparalleled live show and a relentless tour schedule.

Indoor table reservations $15 per seat/must reserve entire table I Outdoor is general admission $15 a ticket I ---- Alexa Rose was born in the Alleghany Highlands of western Virginia, raised in the tiny railroad town of Clifton Forge. Though no one her immediate family played or sang, she inherited a deep musical legacy. “Growing up I would hear stories of my great-grandfather Alvy who, for a time, lived and played with [bluegrass great] Lester Flatt when they were both young men,” says Rose. “Apparently, Lester tried to get him to move to Nashville and pursue a career. But my great-grandfather decided to stay in the mountains with his wife on their farm.” “There are so many musicians where I’m from, people who just play on their porch or in some local bar — and they’re amazing. They don’t do it commercially, that’s not the essence of what they do. There’s a deep connection between their sense of place and the music they make. That’s what really inspires me about the musical culture in the South and the mountains, especially.” That visceral connection is at the core of Rose’s debut album, Medicine for Living (Big Legal Mess). A stunning ten-track effort, it finds the 25-year-old singer-songwriter bringing a wellspring of tradition to bear on an enlivening collection of contemporary roots songs.
